September to November - Site Visit from Students of Chu Hai College of Higher Education
On 30 September 2021, 21 October 2021, and 11 November 2021, Castle Peak Road – Castle Peak Bay widening project invited students from the Civil Engineering Department of Chu Hai College of Higher Education to visit our site.
Difficulties that may be encountered during the course of the works was discussed in the site visit. The students also expressed that they could complement each other with the knowledge in the books, so that the students can have a better balance between real situation and knowledge.
An introduction to the barrier-free lift in Sam Shing Estate was also discussed in the site visit. The installation of the above lift adopted the " Modular Integrated Construction (MIC)" construction method pioneered in Hong Kong (similar projects), and the students are very excited.
Our project team is very pleased to let the community know more about the widening project. In the future, we will arrange more interacting events with the community. We hope that the next event can benefit more public.
August 2021 - 1st Community Liaison Group Meeting
The establishment of Community Liaison Group aims to strengthen communication between the project team and the public, and its members include relevant stakeholders along the Castle Peak Road, representatives of Highways Department, Consultants and Contractor. The Community Liaison Group Meeting, members will be briefed on the project overview, project progress, and provide temporary traffic arrangement for public’s references; we will also collect public opinions on the project and suggestions for improvement, and strive for a win-win situation.
The meetings were held separately in three sessions, during the meetings, public expressed their opinions enthusiastically, and provided suggestions to the Project. The engineers also provided professional knowledge to technote everyone’s better understanding of the Project.
